Lesya Dzhadan

Lesya Dzhadan is Co-founder and editor-in-chief of the Chernihiv regional newspaper Desnyanka. Lives in Kiev. Ukraine.  She devoted her entire life to journalism: she studied at the Institute of Journalism of Kyiv National University.

she worked as a journalist as a prosecutor at the Press Center of the Prosecutor General’s Office in Kyiv, as well as executive director of the international magazine In the World of Special Services in Kyiv, and literary editor of the Desnyanskaya Pravda newspaper in Chernihiv. At the beginning of her career, she was a journalist of TV company “Pryluky” and editor of the newspaper “AIR” in her hometown of Pryluky, Chernihiv region.

“Journalism is my dream come true, my vocation, my whole life. My inspiration is my family. She has raise her voice through various news and social media platform to call for and end to the war in Ukraine. She has dedicated herself in promoting peace among youth in Ukraine.

Lesya Dzhadan has provided relief materials to so many communities that was destroyed during the war in Ukraine. S he has provided medical assistance and shelter for the elderly.

She has joined other volunteers to deliver more than 10 tons of products and hygiene items were delivered by Chernihivska regional organization of Ukrainian Red Cross to the settlements of Bobrovytsia, Kolychivka and Anysiv.

People who were under temporary occupation were given flour, canned food, pasta, cereals, bread, peas, drinking water, mattresses, blankets, baby diapers and food, etc.
